Kathipara is a tamil word which means roads cutting is just like scissor the place is located at guindy in chennai and previously the four roads where in the shape of a scissor. but now it has changed because of a grand flyover constricution is going on .may the government can give a new name to this crossing.

Katthi is Tamil word (Knife)and para is Hindi word.

Katthi para end of Chennai and stating of cantonment area were the military men guarded with katthi, named after Katthi para.
